Our next Know Your Bay Talk will take place on Tuesday 25 August 2026. Our speaker, Dr Bruce Mann, worked for the Oceanographic Research Institute (ORI) in Durban for 30+ years, on linefish and monitoring the effectiveness of MPAs as a tool for managing fish stocks. He will tell us what Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) are, why we need them, how they are designed and proclaimed, and what their benefits are.
