Kelly Grace Alcock
Head: Programmes & Projects
Kelly Alcock is a sustainable development practitioner and enterprise development specialist. Her experience spans over 10+ years of working in the areas of renewable energy project development, development finance, social justice, and human rights, with an overarching impact on economic development.
She holds a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation from the University of Witwatersrand (Wits Business School) with a research project titled “Women Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development in the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme in South Africa”.
In 2023 Kelly was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship as one of 700 fellows on the African continent. Her focus was on acceleration of EdTech solutions in Africa under the track of Civic Engagement. Through the fellowship she attended a 7-week leadership programme at Florida Gulf Coast University in the United States of America and attended the Mandela Washington Summit in Washington D.C. She was awarded the 2022 First Generation Scholarship to the University of Amsterdam to complete an exchange programme on ‘Power to the People, Social Movements, Activism, and Grassroots Organising.
In 2020 Kelly was selected as the South African candidate for the Women in Wind Global Leadership Program 2020-2021 under the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC)
