Are you a strategic financial leader who is passionate about driving long-term sustainability in a purpose-driven organisation? WESSA is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key financial partner to the CEO and Board.
This role plays a critical part in shaping WESSA’s financial future – balancing strategic leadership with operational excellence to ensure strong financial stewardship, compliance, and sustainability in support of the organisation’s environmental mission.
The successful candidate will lead financial planning and strategy, oversee budgeting and reporting processes, strengthen governance and risk management, and support resource mobilisation efforts. Working closely with the CEO, Board and leadership team, the CFO will provide forward-looking financial insights to guide decision-making and ensure the organisation remains financially resilient.
In addition to strategic leadership, the role will oversee finance operations, systems and team performance, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality financial management across the organisation.
This position is well suited to a seasoned financial leader with strong strategic and analytical capability, experience engaging at Board level, and the ability to link financial decisions to organisational impact.
The individual will be based at WESSA’s Bryanston office in Johannesburg.
