International Eco-Labels

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is an international non-government, non-profit organisation. It promotes sustainable development through environmental education. FEE has a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Environment Programme and its tourism-related programmes are recognised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.

WESSA implements programmes on behalf of FEE in South Africa. Since 2001 we've managed the Blue Flag programme in partnership with local authorities, and since 2003 we've run the Eco-Schools programme, which is active in 59 countries around the world. WESSA will be launching the Green Key eco-label in South Africa in 2016.
