Environment-Nov-cover.jpgWESSA, in association with six other non-governmental conservation organizations, have launched a new magazine called ENVIRONMENT: People and Conservation in Africa. The new publication has replaced African Wildlife and provides a new medium for all the NGO’s involved – WESSA, the Endangered Wildlife Trust, the Cape Leopard Trust, Game Rangers Association of Africa, SANCCOB, the Wildlands Conservation Trust and the Wilderness Foundation of South Africa – to spread the word about their work. Each of the NGO partners have dedicated pages in the magazine to promote their own activities and projects.
The idea behind the publication is for it to become the authoritative, unofficial voice for conservation in the region - a vehicle for communicating scientifically-sound information about the environment to the public in general and to leaders in both the public and private sectors in particular. Environment is independent and critical with regards to important, and perhaps more controversial, issues.
